Well I would say pansies because they can live through any weather, cold or hot. Pansies live all year round. Also, They are perennials (they sprout every year continuously)

Easy to grow.....wave petunias, marigolds, daffodils, tulips, violas, snapdragons......most of these flowers you can buy at a local home improvement store and plant after you know there won't be any frost again. You can also plant tulips in the fall and those should be one of the first plants to come up in the spring. Hosta's are pretty hardy too. They aren't really flowers, but the ones that I planted do have purple flowers towards the end of the summer. (My favorite hosta is called "Patriot".) I'm sure that there are more flowers that you could plant, but it really just depends on your area. You could try going to a local greenhouse for advice. They would definitely know what plants you could grow in your area. Otherwise, if you're out driving around and you see something you like, stop and ask about the flowers. Usually gardener's love to boast about their gardens and talk about them with anyone who will listen....again, that's just my own experience.
Good Luck!

wild flowers! you get them in the pack and just spread around the dirt. I suggest you do this pretty soon, spring is right around the corner.

Chrysanthemums endure almost everything, and come back year after year. You can also try pansies.
