Dear Americans.. do you know where Wales is?
George Bush asked Charlotte Church where she was from and when she said Wales he asked her which state it's in.

Oh, please...even George Bush isn't that stupid. People who take such incidents at face value are the real idiots...especially when it's a bimbo child celebrity telling the story.

I know where Wales is.

I had this wonderful professor when I was in college (Rade Radacinovich) who each Monday gave us a blank map of some part of the world and then had us find 100 spots on each one. Some were towns, others were rivers, mountain ranges, etc., and some were very obscure--they were only on the old big atlases in the library, then he handed us another copy of the same map each Friday and had us find 25 of those 100 places from memory. As a result, I know how to use a map and I know where Iraq is (You'd be surprised to know how many people don't.) I wish I had the opportunity to thank him all these years later.

Now we have Google Earth--if you haven't downloaded it by now, do so immediately. It's fun and it's easy. Go ahead, find Wales. Incidentally, there is a town called Wales in Kentucky.

Wales is one of the four constituent nations of the United Kingdom. Wales is located in the south-west of Great Britain and is bordered by England to the east, the Bristol Channel to the south and the Irish Sea to the west and north, and also by the estuary of the River Dee in the north-east.

Most of us know exactly where Wales is. Charlotte Church is Canadian and her accent may have thrown the President off and caused him to wonder if she is now living in one of the many communities in Canada or the United States that is also called Wales. She does not sound Welsh, does she?

Wales is a principality in the United Kingdom. It is on the west of the island (?) which also consists of Scotland and England. Wales is considered to be the 'belly of Britain'.

In England; the southwest part. There are areas in Canada that are known as Wales also, which is why Bush asked her what state she was from; state being another name for province.

It's unfortunate that so many people think George Bush represents all Americans, because he does not.

And yes, I know where Wales is.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is hilarious!

I know where Wales is because I visited Cardiff (Cymru) with my sister, who lives near Bristol, in the U.K. I also forgot my passport that day, but nothing bad happened, thank goodness for that. Lovelly Place.

Not Sure is Charlotte Church is from there, but I know Catherine Zeta Jones is.
