My son is just now 10 months old and he eats what we eat within reason. We cut it up small and if we are going to spice it up we keep the spices off his. He eats cornedbeef, chicken, potatos, pasta, every veggie you can think of except he hates corn. He has solids 3 times a day and little snacks from time to time like a few goldfish crackers the ones with calcium, wholegrain w calcium grahm crackers or Gerbers fruit and veggie puffs. Recently he got ahold of a bag of Ritz crackers at 2 of them. He does not get candy and he does not get anything we add sugar to. He drinks anywhere between 32-40 ounces of formula a day does NOT take baby cereal such as the rice, oatmeal and so forth he does eat regular oatmeal the kind you buy in the grocery I think its called "fruit and cream oatmeal". He will take the stage 3 jarred Oatmeal cereal but not often. He eats all fruits loves bananas, kiwi, oranges, apples, plums and even eats avalcados. Loves gravy on his potatos too he'll go "mmm" everytime he takes a bite.
How I feed my son may not be how alot of mothers out there chose to feed theirs but I am also not a young mother nor am I a first time mom. I do what I feel is right for my son and myself. He does not get fried foods because we do not eat fried foods in our home.I dont think a "book" or the "experts" know what is right for my child only I do. My mom and her mom and so forth didnt raise us by a book I think we need to stop looking to "books" in order to raise our own.

My son recently turned 11 months. He pretty much eats what I eat. I just make sure I cut it up in small pieces. Now if its something that I know he can't eat then I make him a bowl of applesauce or baby food of some sort. He usually eats about 3 times a day with snacks in between. I hope that's helpful for you. He still drinks about 4 to 5 bottles of milk a day as well.

Both my kids pretty much ate whatever I ate at that age and at the same time. Their food was just cut into small pieces.
