My sis told my mom this, and she accepts it as gospel fact.
Then I told her that I leased a 2007 with standard features, and it had an ashtray.
So who is right?
Can you give me an example?

Pretty sure cars have always had ashtrays "standard"...

Why shouldn't they, unless you care to discriminate illegally because someone chooses of their own free will to smoke. Some manufacturers do not include ashtrays standard, the Chrysler PT Cruiser does not come standard with an ashtray, yet the Town and Country has several ashtrays standard. I imagine it depends on the price tag as to whether you use an ashtray or the window.

my civic honda doesn't have an ashtray so with all the forest fires I think that is why people throw cigarettes out their windows. All cars & trucks should have an ashtray whether one smokes or not.

Least cars come both with and with out ashtrays. If you want a car that hasn't been smoked in you have to tell the least company you want one with out an ash tray. You didn't so they just gave you one that did or maybe they didn't have one with out an ashtray.

Seat belts are my very own hate. that they are mandatory no-possible deny, yet why, precisely, do they consistently upward thrust up and run in the time of my neck and make for such uncomfortable using..? Oh, and a good automobile jack lined as nicely-known too, no longer those clunky spindly issues that choose 3 hundred turns, just to get the automobile up and the punctured wheel off. i offered a small jack platform, with 4 wheels and an prolonged pump safeguard. Slips under the automobile and jacks it off the floor in seconds. is attainable in a severe high quality flat cardboard field which lies flat on the backside of the automobile boot. trouble is, it grow to be extremely costly. Over $one hundred funds. Lot of money for some thing you employ perhaps as quickly as in 5 years.

I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee that has no ash tray and not even a spot to put one. I also have a 2000 Grand Am that does not have one.

They still have cigarette lighters and ashtrays.

However, people who smoke in their vehicles are fools as they are potentially de-valuing the sell on value of their vehicle by $1000's. Dealers ofter have to re-upholster vehicles that have been smoked in and the bill comes out of the trade in money.
