Many ways.

1. Simply move the router or device recieving the signal to a differnet area.

2. Purchase a High range antenna for that nic or router. You can also purchase a relocatable antenna that has a base and a long cord that can go anywhere.

3. Online there are several websites where you can make homemade antenna boosters ore antennas from materials you can get from home depot etc... They work amazingly well.

make sure it is in a wide-open area (ie, tabletop, top of a bookshelf) as so that it doesn't have to broadcast the signal through if any, few, walls. Also, avoid other electronics like microwaves and stuff, and you should notice a difference. there are range expanding devices, but those can cost $60-70 somtimes.

You have to buy a router booster. I know you can buy one from bestbuy. The best provider is linksys and they are at a good price range.

Browse the router configuration and see if it allows you to extend the power signal, if not satisfied then you can purchase booster aerials / devices which would allow you to extend the range of your signal...search 'wardriving' devices
