we bought a Snapper lawn mower for $500 but it's pure crap. Engine takes 10 min to start and it's heavy and crappy. and engine shuts off frequently.

So what's a good lawn mower???? want something with an easy button start and doesn't die while mowing high grass.

I have Snappers and one that I used the other day started on the second pull, that was after sitting all winter. I have mowed down weeds that were as tall as 6 feet high. Mine are older though and don't have all the safety features still hooked up. Toro makes good mowers too.

I don't know what your doing. I have a troy built. I've had it for two years now. It cuts grass great and never has stalled on me. If you don't clean your filter, change your plugs and keep your plug cap right it's your own fault. But to answer your question the best mower is HONDA. They suposetley make one of the best lawnmowers. I've heard people have HONDA for 20 30 years and they still work well.

You need to maintain your engines better. Snapper is a quality brand and you have to realize that consumer equipment, regardless of brand, often comes from a common manufacturer.

Personally I find a teenager to be the best, failing that I would go with a Toro.

Get a Toro, they work as well as any.
