Okay so I'm going a report on 'global warming', then I have to present this information to make the greatest effect, like 'the youth of todays society' knowing that they can influence their parents and teachers now as well as changing them for their behaviour in the future. Then I have to come up with ideas that will help reduce global warming..

Does anyone know how I should start this thing pleasee??!!!

The first thing we need to do is petition the sun to not shine so bright. He really likes to shine real hot but I bet together we can talk him into not shining.
Next we can ask the sky to not pour down so many cosmic rays into the atmosphere. It creates too many clouds and that heats up the planet.
3rd we have to also ask volcanoes to just shut UP! They are so nasty and bad for all the CO2 they produce.
4th and last we need to ask all insects and animals to stop breathing as much as possible.
The first two are the true cause of global warming or cooling. The second two show that CO2 is a good thing. Its not pollution. It is such a tiny portion of what is in the atmosphere as to be inconsequential.
The very last thing we need to do is ask our politicians not to lie or exaggerate or feel they should use fear to motivate us.
Good luck!
(oh if you present this information you will get death threats and lose your job.. cause thats how liars and propagandists get their point across)

Look up info on the environmental defense website. They are a good place to start. They also have alerts you can do...That is sign petitions right now that email instantly to senatorsand other lawmakers deciding on laws protecting lands for endangered animals and saving forests and so forth. So global warming is affecting more than just the atmosphere. For example, If the polar ice caps keep melting then the temperature rises then there's no more stable ice flows the polar bears use to drift out and catch fish --making life more difficult for them.
Don't you feel better knowing there are polar bears out there somewhere catching snow shoe rabbits and arctic foxes? The balance of the polar ecosystem will affect us in the long term. Public action is one way young people can be informed and change the way of the future. If your whole class joined environmental defense or any other "green" website and read the email news updates every other day changes or progress toward change can be made to stop some of the awful things that are happening/could happen. We are all connected; whether we choose to see it or not will determine how fast the earth changes for the better or for the worse. Good luck on your paper.

Divide the report into pieces and tackle them one at a time.

First, explain what global warming is, and why it works the way it does.

Next, explain how much of a problem it is. (Be aware that many of the reports of its consequences are terribly exaggerated; try to stick with the real science).

Finally, suggest how to deal with the problem. Be aware that massively cutting our energy use is not an option - it ain't gonna happen, for a variety of reasons. You need alternate sources of energy besides burning coal and oil.

Interestingly, alternative energy sources like solar & wind power are unable to meet the bulk of our energy needs. In terms of large scale power generation, if you want to reduce CO2 emissions, nuclear power is the way to go. Of course, you'd still need to deal with nuclear waste, but you wouldn't be pumping CO2 into the atmosphere :-)

read everything you can find, and watch "An Inconvenient Truth." Take notes. Then apply your notes to the rest of the assignment. Appeal to their pocketbooks and show how much money will be lost if the predicted changes occur.

Like how many tourism dollars will be lost in areas that will be under water, and how crowded the rest of the country will be when all of those people have to move.

How their grandchildren are already suffering from asthma.
