At this point, we have to look at what the consequences would be if we left Iraq today. The Iraqi government would collapse and that nation would descend into all out Civil War. Basically what happened in Afghanistan when the Soviets left in the 1980's would happen to Iraq if we left today. Civil war in Iraq means increased destabilization of an already volatile Middle East, the deaths of millions of Iraqis, and a significant increase in the world crude oil price. None of these things is good for the United States.

The main questions we have to ask ourselves are: Can we stabilize Iraq and provide their government with the tools to maintain power after we leave? What amount of resources are we willing to spend to achieve this outcome? How long are we willing to give the Iraqis to be able to begin to work together for their country's common good?

NO we should not withdraw. NO one in their right mind is PRO WAR.but this war is a necessary evil. The way the people over there are treated must be stopped if the WORLD is to be a safer place to live.No country will be safe from this, if something isn't done and done right. We should have sent our full armerment to end the terror once and for all.Fight them the only way they know how NO HOLDS BARRED.fight fire with fire.Show no mercy like they show people getting Be-Headed and even SAWED off on television.I wish we could do the same maybe they would see the barbaric nature of their own people and think twice about it.

We should have never been there as US.it should have been a world effort. With that said, we have no other choice but stay the course. In every action there will always be penalties for early with-drawl.I personally feel there will never be any resolution in the Middle East.
