-20= -20

C = 35 -4C
+4C = +4C
------------------------------
5C = 35
divide both sides of the equal sign by 5

Adding 4C on both sides;
C+4C+20=55
5C=55-20
5C=35
C=35/5
C=7

C + 20= 55- 4c
C= 55 - 4c -20
C=35-4c
5c=35
c=7

4c + c + 20= 55 - 4c + 4c.....or...5c + 20=55....5c + 20 -20=55-20.....or 5c=35....now divide both sides by 5...or c=7..
