It started with the Republican "stacked" Supreme Court
who installed a non-electable air-jock into the Presidency
And, with the advent of the 9 / 11 "attacks" the country was cohersed into a total release of oversight of the government through "fear mongering" incumbants who KNEW that "war powers" are absolute !! With no answers having to be made for anything it did---because of the "support your government in this time of "war" " thing----the seated powers wasted no time in altering all kinds of lever points to give themselves carte blanche into the reins of unbridaled power --- moving everything--- literally everything into the "national security" zone where it was safe from the "prying eyes of the public" !! This added convienience of secrecy cloaking every single thing that it did---- has brought us to a place where we are living at the edge of a police state while being told that we are "bringing freedom" to other places !! The single Law that was past to accommadate most of this was the Patriot Act--- which gives the central authority the power to see anyone as the enemy that does not agree with it --- So, you now have actual Senators and Congressmen somewhat afraid of being labeled as unAmerican if they do not wholeheartedly support the administration on everything that it does !!!

Sad day in America--- the globalists are notching us into a third world nation at their own profit and they are doing so with our full cooperation because we are being told that it is unAmerican to do otherwise !!!!!

It used to be a system of checks and balances, now it has turned into a confusing maze of paperwork and red tape. We have let it fail by making way too many laws and complicating Government with the after effects of trying to enforce them. We need to review all legislation as to it's current effectiveness and validity, and require a vote of confidence from our legislatures to reenact the bill. A huge project, but one long overdue. We need some patriots in congress to fight the influence of big business and fix this broken system by reviewing and throwing out the items that caused it to break! They can start by removing the political influence of lobbyists, without the time these people cause to be wasted, important fixing could be accomplished. Well supposedly the house and senate are held in check by the judiciary and the judiciary is held in check by the executive branch, but in GW Bush's case the supreme court elected him rather than the people , nobody's watching the attorney general whose been firing people for ' political' reasons and you 've got senators and house representatives being indicted all over the place for ethics violations . Yup I think the checks and balances in the US system has failed due to in most cases corrupt GOP members, appointees and the executive branch.

No, no it hasn't, not in the traditional sense. There are groups that have infiltrated and corrupted the courts and the original intent of the Constitution, such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), building on cases since the 1920's and rearranging American laws, heritage and traditions.. And sometimes there is heavy imbalance in the United States Supreme Court between the liberal and the conservative views - which are not supposed to get in the way when interpreting the Constitution anyway, when it comes to decisions that affect our personal lives, like Roe v. Wade on abortion. It should never have been a federal government decision, nor should states have to comply with federal lawmaking about removing Christianity. The states are guaranteed autonomy and should have been allowed to regulate themselves without the federal courts trumping state laws about gay issues, legal pornography on the internet and in prisons, providing maximum federal benefits to illegal aliens and their children, and regulating abortion and partial birth abortion issues. Congress should not have given themselves raises while giving no cost of living raise to people on social security. Obama promised they were not to take pork barrel funding, but they have, and he allowed it. It's hard for a Democratic house and congress to say no to a Democratic President and vice versa. I'm waiting for Obama to fall on his face for saving his hometown bank and other banks and bailouts in question, and for burying us in debt to a Communist nation.. It is highly unusual for the Congress and the Presidency to be of the same party, but it has happened. The Obama campaign targeted college kids all around the country, providing registration forms and guiding first time voters to the polls. Unfortunately, too many fairly well off and content baby-boomers stayed home and let the vote slide. If the Christian baby-boomers would have gotten off their butts and voted in the last presidential and congressional elections, we wouldn't be in this mess. Of course the Supreme Court appointees are for life or until incompetency prevents them, and are generally above reproach personally, but as representative, they've allowed so many twists to the original intent of the Constitution that our forefathers are probably red in the face walking around heaven. And God's not too happy either.
