It's not in My nature always to do the right thing but I'm more than happy to tell others to. Generally it's about learning from experience the right choices. If you're nasty and mean = no-one likes you. Eat lots of refined food and alcohol = poor digestion as you get older. This is not to say that it is not human nature to WANT to do the right thing in every circumstance but that in practise things get twisted. Life feels unfair and you're going to want comfort food and some people might want to hurt someone or annoy someone because they're feeling hard done by - and that has a knock on effect. Most animals are quite passive if left alone but if we put them in a cage and tormented them, things might change - and that is pretty much what life is about. Once you begin behaving badly or negatively, the only way you're going to stop is by visualising a better life for yourself through learning to control your emotions and appetites.
