I have done my own service on my 2002 astra and need to turn off the INSP light that comes up on the trip counter.
Can you tell me how?

You can do it and this is how.
Ignition Off
Hold Trip Reset In (keep held in)
Press brake pedal (and keep pressed)
Turn on Ignition
Still Hold Trip Reset and brake pedal for aprox 12 seconds, the INSP should change.
release brake and trip reset.
switch off ign
switch on ign and check.

Just follow above and it will work

Should be a procedure in the owners manual to do this. May be as easy as key on engine off and depress accelerator 3 time in less than 5 seconds.

i dont think you can you have to take it to the garage to be turned off and they will charge a bomb , thats why they make cars like that so you cannot do it on your doorstep , it will fail the mot for the light being on as my renault was the same, i took the bulb out however then took it back and it passed.

i had the same problem i took mine to the garage and got it plugged into a computer .The computer gives you a reading of the problem.its usually one of the sensors on the down pipe or on the side of the engine

disconnect the neg lead from the battery for 5 minutes..it resets the ECU
