Anything but AOL!!!

AOL is the pits for dial up. It loads so much usless garbage on accessing the site that you will truly get frustrated.

The current dial up modems are called 56K modems but guess what? They don't operate anywhere near 56K. They operate more to the tune of 35 to 38K at best, and if the site is slow or loaded with people it will be much slower.

If I were you I would look into what's available for high speed in your area. For example, visit http://www.verizon.com and see if their DSL is available in your area. You can get a 768K package for under $20 a month if they service your area. There may be other providers in your area. Do some checking.

Only go with dial up if there is no other option open to you.

The first oxymorone of the day "good Dial-up".

There is no such animal. If you have to have dial up service they all operate about the same. Remeber that the services that claim to be free or ultra low costs slam you with banners, ads and offers, a real pain, makes you wish you paid for better service. go dsl or cable. dsl 15.00 a month or 50 cents a day cant go wrong.

I don't know about "on the planet" but I use a joint called Phreego.com . We don't have DSL in this area. Phreego has an exhilerator. It costs $109.00 per year..but the best part is "you talk to a live person in the USA and they will walk you through any problems you are having...
