I have no idea, but I do know that our president at the time, Woodrow Wilson, didn't want Germany to be treated as harshly as it was, and I think it may have called for the creation of the "League of Nations", which was essentially powerless. Some think that the treaty is what created a bitter German population, which lead to the rise of Adolf Hitler

Germany owed hundreds of millions in reparation payments to France and England. Germany could not rearm or have a standing army. The French could exact payment from the Rhineland by force of their Army.

That had to pay for the war. (They had to pay all the countries for starting the war) Causing Germany to incur massive inflation. Which led to growing nationalism, which led to the rise of Hitler, which led to world war 2.

Also Germany was not allowed to be a naval power anymore in order to keep the BRitish as the sole naval power.

Germany was also only allowed to have 100,000 troops in their military.
