I really hate it when dance artists put vocals over the top of tracks that were originally instrumental, purely to get them into the charts. The worst parts are that (a) most of the time, the vocal completely ruins the track; and (b) people who only know the vocal version turn round and go "this is rubbish, where are the words?" when they hear the original version. Is it just me or does this annoy the life out of anyone else?

Yes this annoys me. Especially when people think the 'new' version is the original.
The increasing amount of corrupted versions of music is unfortunately going to lead to more people (sheep) thinking it is acceptable. Everyone is entitled to play around with tracks and make their own versions, but they need not inflict it on anyone else.
I can't think of an example where the added vocal has improved the song. Some tracks need to be left alone.

It does,just displays a lack of creativity and originality.I don't mind a band doing a cover version of a song on occasion,but i find most dance music not to my personal taste anyway.

You shouldn't take it all that personal. Every generation gets its crap music. Sometimes artists are just trying to figure out who they are. Some will always suck but in a few years you some of the artists that annoy you now might surprise you.

I hate most music today. It doesn't say anything, just people spouting out words *usually repetitively* just to make a number 1 hit because people are foolish and listen to this garbage. Very disappointing.

Dance music as a whole annoys me. Its only purpose is to dance to it so they could care less about talent or originality.

yer it also annoys me when they release classic tracks then put a new funkier beat with it. its like theyve not got any imagination 2 make new stuff. whats happened 2 originallity. hhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!

yeah yeah. and they'll like speed it up and switch the beautiful music into nearly unrecognizable beebs and whistles and then put trashy lysics on top? ugh.

it doesnt annoy me,if you dont like any sort of music then dont listen to it,we all got different tastes in all things in life
