Earth is just a little ol' planet that revolves around one of the billions and billions of stars that comprise the universe.

The only thing central that we know for sure is our Sun, which is the center of our solar system.

It's already proven that no matter where YOU are in the Universe, you're at the center and everything (galaxies) are racing away from you. The Big Bang, as you may know, was an explosion OF space not an explosion IN space. The cosmic background radiation is uniform and consistent throughout the observable universe. As some mentioned above, you cannot detect and 'edge' to the universe. I could go on, but you get my drift....

Well, though the universe a larger than the human mind can comprehend, billions and billions of light years in every direction, it is not infinite it does have an ending.
Do not ask what is outside the end of the universe, that's another issue. Scientists have a lot of theories about it, though no one can know for sure.

Realistically, we are not in the center of the universe. At least according to the pictures of the universe that have been telescoped. We aren't even in the center of the Milky Way.

Now, there are way too many people who think we (they) are the center of the universe. Their own universe. They need to get over that.

the universe is not actually 'infinite' although it is expanding. All matter and such started from one spot and through the big bang theory all matter has been continually expanding. Earth is rotating and revolving etc but it is also moving away from the center of the universe.

Now where is the center of the world? That you can argue is you because if we are a sphere it doesn't really matter.

The ancient ones in the Grand Canyon thought the Canyon was the center of the universe. The ancient Greeks thought that Delphi (where the oracle was) was the center of the universe, and had a sacred stone called the "omphalos" or navel of the world. I imagine many communities feel this way, so why shouldn't you?

No! The Universe is so vast, and we really know so little about it in relation to the Earth, that I doubt very much that we are the center of the Universe. That was a good question.

But you can never truly measure infinite or infinity so we only assume it exist and therefore assume we are the center.

After great research and intellectual debate...

No, we are slightly to the left and high of the center of the universe.

Could be....?

The earth is the center of the Universe.

The earth is just a timid little planet by itself among billions and billions of stars.

The earth is one in a trillion of life forms/civilizations throughout the universe.

It's hard to say, because our society has so many qualms about digging into this thing or that thing.

The concept "center" is relative as it is a reflection of consciousness and awareness of the surroundings. So, wherever a "conscious" being goes is the center of the universe for them.
