I believe they are cutting down, not totally cutting out. They are omitting certain truths. The FDA requires that more than 0.5g of trans fat pr serving size in a food must be included on the label. Now if say a food chain cuts down their use of trans fats in thier fries and it now has less than 0.5g they dont have to claim it as being in there - but here is the clincher! They will undoubtedly greatly decrease their serving size to technically by looking at the label, they are following the rules - little does the consumer know that there may actually be 5 servings in those tiny packages of fries.

Its just the same as snackwells cookies - extremely lo fat. So people eat the whole box! it adds up.....

Its all just another ploy to make consumers think they are eating healthy, nutritious foods. Whats the point in cutting the fats if its still loaded with toxic chemicals, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and preservatives? Most consumers havent got a clue about ingredients in food, and most don't bother to read the ingredients in anything they eat.

I would hope that they're not lying about it, but I wouldnt put it past them. However I honestly feel that if they are lying about it and they get caught, some money hungry scrub will slap them with a law suit.

It would be against the law for them to mislead anyone in this information. Most places are inspected often and these lies would come out and cause a big controversy, I am sure they aren't lying.
