You should ask permission before you use your tools for someone Else's pleasure. You wife may get upset especially if it gets lost or broken.

i think you should tell your wife... you screwed her mother... 's desk. i'm sure she wouldn't mind you screwing her mom .... 's desk all the time. but i think you shouldn't tell your father in law. cause he might think you're getting into his business.. cause yah know... he should be doing all the screwing in the house.
