Veterinary Medicine?

What college do you think would be the best choice to go to for the study, because my personal favorite is Purdue??????

Purdue is a very good school. Do you know what you want to work on. If you are very interested in exotics, Purdue is not very strong in that area. If you are really interested in beef cattle, perhaps Texas would suite you better. I can't say what the best school would be for you. Compare all the schools cirriculum. Also do you mind living in a city or rural area. Look at where the schools are located.

Since there are only 27 Vet schools in the US, and most of them reserve the majority of their slots for residents of certain states -- they question shouldn't be which one is best -- but which one would even consider you.

If you live in Indiana, Purdue may be your only realistic choice. If you live outside of Indiana, it will be extremely hard to get into Purdue.

Vet school is one of the hardest programs to get into. I know people who became MDs because they couldn't get accepted at a vet school.

The highest rated school seems to be Cornell. However, if you plan to practice large animal veternary medicine, perhaps you should think of schools in areas of the USA, where there are numerous farm animals.

Looks like many graduates of the eastern schools want to take care of small animals ( birds, cats, dogs ) and not the animals one normally will find on a farm, who are our most important animals when it comes to human nutrition.

Purdue looks like a good school, as Indiana has many rural areas and farms.
