It's spelt anime/animé... but yeah, I'm quite obsessed. It's shaping my future career too because it got me into art.

I love all the Studio Ghibli films. They are too beautiful. My favourites are "Spirited Away" and "My Neighbour Totoro."
"The Grave of the Fireflies" was lovely too, but very realistic and sad.
It really is the artwork that makes them special; the stories are good enough but the dialogue is poor, which is why, after translation, new script has been included for English viewers.
If anyone wants to sample, try the Ghibli ones as a starter. You won't be disappointed!

I used to when I was child.
Parents become mad at their children when they read manga instead of proper books. They were banned at schools.
Most Japanese grow out of it as they become older.

I'm not sure Anime/Manga can be categorised as a form of art because it belongs to pop-culture.
It's now very popular in France, too. I was surprised to find a Manga cafe in Paris near Pantheon.

They rule. Especially Naruto. Most Japanese stuff rules, so that shouldn't come as too much of a surprise though. Hooray for Japanese people! Especially the ones that come out with cool technology and entertainment stuff!

Yes, but it is also evil and corrupting I spend all my money buying manga books and anime DVDs. Plus now I have no space. (Oh well so I can't pay my bills who needs to eat anyway)

I'm a little obsessed. It's surprising how much Japanese I now understand when watching anime.
