Excuse me? I believe it was the conservative president George W. Bush that brought us down. And the media are not liberal, they are much too scared to show any opinions. Except of course for Fox News.

I really don't believe there is a 'liberal' bias in the media. There is so much that is not reported, or reported well enough. You actually have to be 'into it' - to even get an idea of what's going on. By that I mean dig deeper than tv news or the stories chosen by editors of magazines and newspapers.

Real investigative journalism is becoming more rare. Which makes someone like Seymour Hersh even more of a national treasure - yet a great many people, who claim to be well informed have never heard of him.

If there is a downfall of America, it would be because of many different and complicated issues. One of the faults of modern journalism is to try to make everything simple and black and white, when unfortunately, reality is simply not like that.

To understand what's going on in the world a person would have to go beyond their own left or right biases. Most of us don't do that. Too uncomfortable, and too much work.

I think some important factors facing America today include a
national debt approaching 10 trillion (!) dollars. And a great deal of poverty.

while I agree that views in themselves can't bring on the downfall of a country, they can definatley be the main reason for its demise. The major difference between the conservative and liberal media outlets is the amount they are willing to lie about their political standpoints. For instance, Bill O'Reilly says he's a moderate, he's a lying douche. O'Reilly is a conservative, and a pretty staunch one at that. He's the only one saying he's not a conservative and it doesn't really matter what he says because everybody else knows the truth. On the other hand, a person like Katie Curric says she's a moderate and suddenly everybody blindly believes her. It's very similar to Walter Cronkite. People believed that he was "fair and balanced" and he helped pervert millions of families into his leftist views. So while the views of the media can't destroy a country by themselves, they can easily deceive people into destruction.

The popularity of Rosie O'Donnell is more scary then any media bias I've seen. At least moderately educated people can rationally debate issues, that is a "woman" who sees no hippocrasy in saying that guns should be illegal except for the ones her bodyguard has to protect her.

Will the liberal views be expressed by the media in it's truth?
The media's representation of the liberal views will definitely cause a rift but I don't see it as a downfall of america, but a downfall of truth, trust and accuracy of the information train.

Depends on what channels you watch. This is a stupid question. You have all sides of the media. Is it America's fault that more is liberal than conservative? Is it not appropriate for all sides to be heard? Can news really destroy a country? You did not put very much thought into your questions. What a waste of 5 points.
