I would say dogs but that is just my personal choice i have a dog and 2 cats and i would say i spend an equal amout of time with them during the day. Cats i think are better for a busy person because they dont require as much care as a dog could but dogs are also great because they show there unbreakable love for you all the time and they want to be with you all the time as well. but who knows there might be some cats out there that act like dogs and some dogs that act like cats.

It all depends on what you're looking for in a pet and what kind of lifestyle you have.
Dogs can be alot of work. They need to be walked, and generally just have more energy. They need people to be around, as they are pack animals, and will not be happy if they are left alone all the time.
Cats on the other hand, are much more independent. You can leave them for a weekend if it's absolutely necessary (as long as food and water are left out, or someone can come over to feed them). For the most part, they aren't as social as dogs, and you don't need to walk them. Cats would probably be better for someone who traveled a lot.
I would say dogs are better.I have a cat that I love to death, he is my baby, but I would have to say that after he's gone, I can't see me getting another cat.

Dogs. Cats make allergies come out of the woodwork.
A chihuahua is a good choice. I've said this before, I think their half cat and half dog.

I would usaly say dogs because they listen to you and have a lot of character to them. But cats have been my favorit for awhile now I think they are better because you dont half to let them outside to potty (I hate doing that lol) they dont need walks every day(another thing I hate) they are just easier and less time consuming to care for really.

dogs are more obediant, plus their better with kids and more tolerant. cats scratch furniture to,not good to have around a brand new sofa! cats think their always in charge ,dogs know you're master.

Depends on how dependent you want your pet to be. Dogs require more attention and care (grooming, boarding, etc.) Cats tend to be more independent and self entertaining.
