Last night I dreamed that I was hearing these lyrics:

It was a soul ballad, female singer, male harmonizing. Now I do dream up snatches of songs a lot, but I think I've heard this one before. In other words, I think this was a recorded song from years ago. Maybe the lyrics are:
"He, he wants to marry me.
He has a few broken dreams."
The words could be different. It's in the key and style of "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late", only slower. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
