You're sorry for what you did, and your mum's forgiven you. It seems you're unable to forgive yourself though. We've all done bad things to the people we love, and as long as you're truly sorry for what you've done, and intend never to do it again, there is no reason why you shouldn't be forgiven.

The Bible says you just have to ask for forgiveness. But I'm not expert on that subject. It is so hard to forgive yourself, but time helps that a lot. What should help you keep focused on staying alive is that those people that you are obsessed with guilt at having hurt, will grieve for you forever if you commit suicide. Most of the time, depression and such can, and is, treated outpatient, so please go see a psychiatrist. Note I said psychiatrist because they are the place to start. Then go find a good counselor that you feel is working well for you.
You deserve a wonderful life. Now go find the help you need to get that! The relationships will follow.

From the tone of this, I'd advise you to get counselling.
You dont need a hospital, I dont think,
You just need to forgive yourself.
Let up on yourself. You were probably at a growing stage.
Everyone on earth make mistakes, and they'd proably not do them again.
God forgives, just ask him.
If you think you have a violent streak, you need to get some help to address that.
MY guess is that you were angry and frustrated with something in your life, and you took it out on the person closest to you.
Talk to someone you trustt..
Good luck

I think you already truely asked for forgiveness and God has given it to you. God doesnt want you to live a life in shame. I have the same trouble with dealing with certain actions i have done as well, im glad you thought about your mistakes and im glad you saw rock bottom, now you know the consequences and importance of your actions. you are on your way.

Dude, if your mother has forgiven you then you need to forgive yourself. Just don't put your hands on anyone else. Seek some counseling to address this issue.
