I used to have 6 friends, i'm still friends with only 3 of them (real friends).
One friend became my friend in college (only last two years) and she was always in need of help with papers and specific details about exams (she didn't attend lectures much), and she kept on talking about her dad's business and we went on and asked for his help over something in his profession, we paid him and yet no good result as he said, come to think about it: it was just us paying him and him not doing much... Then she stopped calling after graduation,.... i've been to her house for over 10 times, and i've always invited her over to my place and she never came... (what a friend!!)
Another one we were friends for more than three years, and she started treating me differently once she got engaged.... Plus she invited me to her wedding two days before its time...
she yeeled at me on the phone for over half an hour for not calling her to apologize over not being able to visit her... (terrorist!!)
One friend is actually about a year younger than me, she found it an accomplishment that she got married before me and she started to look down on me and say stuff like: you don't know what being with someone is like, you don't know what being married is.... (FREAK)...
I'm still friends with 3 of them, we made a deal that we accpet each other the way we are and respect one another, we my not agree on everything but we respect each other's opinions no matter how different they are.
Last but not least, a relative of mine once said: there's no friendship between girls, there's jealousy. i find that true somehow, but it doesn't mean there's no friendship at all.
Besides, every phase of our lives needs certain friends (i mean, certain qualities), as we grow older, we'd be very lucky if the friends we have still have those qualities, but when they don't have them, and nothing works with them, it's time to move on and find other friends who would respect you and be there for you as much as you'd be there for them and respect them.
Peace

I only have a couple of friends. It's because I don't trust a lot of people and a lot of females get on my nerves.
I have one friend who I've known since 2nd grade and shes my bff. My other friend I've known for about 3 years and our daughters are like best friends. Our kids (one each) have been playing toghether since they were in diapers.
This is probably why I don't have a lot of friends: If someone doesn't smoke (not cigarettes) I probably won't hang around them a lot. I do smoke (not cigarettes) and wouldn't want to hide it or let someone else hinder my smoking. I don't need a lot of friends around me. My husband is the opposite and is sooo social.

Perhaps 6-8 acquaintances as I deal primarily with the same people from day to day, but no friends. By 'friend' I mean no one that I spend time with outside of school or work.

My inner circle 4riends:
Cinthia, Myra, Graciela, Destiny, Tracey, Roxi
All of those people I trust with many things because they will always be there 4 me and I will always be there 4 them! ^_^
Outer circle:
Briana, Guadalupe, Mayreli, Monica, Andrea, Nelida, Natividad, Valeria,Anahi
These people I do trust but not as much as my best friends! They usually don't talk to me that much and I talk to my BFF"s more.
^^....^_^

I know what it's like to be on the "outer circle" and don't structure my friendships that way--neither do my friends as well.
I have a close circle of friends--they all are unique--but their common bond is they all accept me for who I am and value our time together.
That's all that matters with me.

you can have many partners, but u have to know who is your real friend, real friends are the ones that u know that would never said bad things behind you, and will ever be your friend even if u fight very hard, and you love that person like a boyfriend or girlfriends but you dont wanna **** or kiss that person, there are also many superficial friends that if u dont see them in months of year you dont really care

I only have 2 good friends, the rest are friendly acquaintances. then there are the people I chat with. I call them friends, but never met most of them, so they really aren't friends.
