I have heard from one of my friends that God of War is awesome.
I do like games of this genre too.
What do you guys think? Worth the $20 and why?

I thought this game was great
You were not a god but a man who had done evil things during time of war and he tries to kill himself but is saved by the gods to eventually fight Aries (the god of war) who is out of control. The battles were hard but not too hard. You learn a lot of different attacks and skills, and the story line follows well.
I think if you like these types of games, it's worth the 20 dollars

God Of War Rocks! It is a small bit like Prince Of Persia, gameplay-wise. You have the amazing fight sequences (God Of War beats prince of persia on this) then some strategy thinking, puzzles and stuff. This game is less realistic but if you love kicking the *** out of people, this is your game! Definately worth the $20, and you need number 1 to understand number 2.

If you like the adventure/Hack and slash genre buy the game. I have it and it's awesome. It may not be that long maybe around 8 hrs, but it's awesome. God of war 2 just came out too so if you like this game alot you will be able to get the 2nd one. 20$ isnt alot so i say buy it

I played it. It's a lot of fun. I personally don't care about the blood or nudity in it, but found it fun through the various other aspects of the game. I recommend it. It's a linear game in which you fight waves of enemies, solve puzzles, and gain powers that you can upgrade with experience points.
I plan on getting the sequel soon enough.

My husband plays that game & says that it is awesome. He also has God of War 2. If you like that kind of game then I'm sure you'll love this one. It is definitely worth th money :)

It's one of the best games on Ps2
BTW: god of war 2 is out , finshe the first one than buy GoW 2

i don't think it's worth $20 or even $0. they'd have to pay me $10000000000000000000000000 to play it for one millisecond. this is the worst game ever thought about playing. the God of War 2 is even worst to play don't buy any of them. even the idea of playing as a GOD is stupid because gods are immortals. only an Idiot would play or even think about playing that game .........yeah
