wash your face and hands with soap.

people say i wash my hands too much. when i am at the bathroom i don't quick rinse with soap.

i wash with soap like 5 times and i get all the spots.

but it is also bad to wash your hands a lot because you lose skin cells.

anyways, if you want to clear up your face, you have to wash it a lot.

if you get a lot of oil or feel it oily or sweaty, wash it with soap immediately. because dirt always finds its way in through sweat and oil.

if you have black heads (pimples that went away but leave marks) there are creams and washes with beads. try clean and clear and neutrogena.

goodluck

Ughh, Proactive is so horrible! I used it for 6 months and it made my face so much worse. I changed my eating habits and my face-cleaning habits, and I rarely now get any blemishes. First, if you smoke, quit! It helps with the clearing of the face thing! Also, I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. It flushes the toxins out of your system. Also I wash my face/skin with a fragrance free soap. Finally, I try to get more sleep, that way my body can zap those little suckers on its own.......

Since Proactive didn't work I would try using some dove products they have these awesome cleansing clothes and they work so well and make your face feel soft and refreshed. Before you do that though, try a facial scrub to rid your skin of oil and dead skin. It helps if you don't wear make-up until your face clears. Throw away all your make-up brushes and pads and get new ones, only use them once, they will transfer bacteria, gross. Also make sure you wash your sheets and pillow cases often to get rid of the dead skin cells and oil and bacteria living on them. Try using a hypo-allergenic laundry soap. Good luck and I hope this helps!!

How long did you try it? For any skin care routine to be effective, you need to use it for at least 3-4 months. If you find that over the counter skin care products are not helping you, it is possible you need medication. Obviously you do not want to hear "go to the Dermatologist" but chances are, one visit would fix the problem.

You also need to evaluate your diet. If you are eating greasy, processed foods, that will contribute to skin problems. Also make sure you drink a lot of water. It really does work.

I am a beauticontrol distributor and find that our product works well, but I have a few thoughts without a sales pitch. We are taught two things that speak to this problem:
1) use products that are the same: if you cleanser is brand x, the toner, scrub and moisturizer should be brand x
2) consistency! you should wash your face 2 times a day for best results. expect it to break out during the first 3 weeks because you are changing your regimen and sometimes our bodies react!

try clear.now. It's a three step system like proactiv but it works much better. The medical ingredient is a smaller molecule that gets into the pores better. You can get it from www.jewel.mychoices.biz

Really, you tried Proactive and it didn't work? I think that stuff is amazing!
You might have to go see a dermatologist, they would definitely be able to help you out, so why are you against going to a doc?

Yeah, I've tried proactive and it sucks..
If you find any medicine with sulfur in it (like murad) It works really good. You just put it on individual pimples and they shrink up really fast. Just don't put too much or your skin will get dry.
