1. (Correct). It prompted the U.S. to enter World war II. The Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor was devastating to the American Pacific Fleet. It occurred on De, 7th 1941. On Dec. 8th President Franklin D. Roosevelt went before Congress and asked them to declare war on Japan. They did. Only one Congressman (a pacifist) voted againts the declaration.
2. (Totally false!) The Japs didn't LOSE a single battle until nearly 6 months after the attack. The Japs won a battle the day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. While the U.S. was in the process of declaration of War, the Japs were finishing off the few remnants of the American Fleet, stationed in Manila Bay, in the Philippines.
3.)Totally False! It took several years to rebuild our Pacific military fleet and aircraft.
4. Totally False! The Japanese made the Philippines their colony, and massacred hundreds of thousands of people there.
