Don't listen to these other kids who have never played paintball befor in their life, and think you could just buy a gun from Wal-mart. It depends what you want to play. If you want to play outside, where you rely on skill more than speed of shot, than you want to buy either the Tippmann A-5, or the Tippmann 98 Custom. I personally have the A-5, with tons of upgrades from www.opsgear.com If you are looking to play indoor, and looking for a gun with speed, reasearch into any of the Spyders or, the Smart Parts Ion. If you are going to play outside in the woods, ONLY buy either a Tippmann A-5 or 98 Custom. The ion is fast, but has no range, which is what you need when playing outside. To research any paintball item, go to www.pbreview.com And if you want the cheapest and best A-5 packages, buy it offline where I did, at www.getintosports.com Sometimes their site is not working, If it is not working, they have an ebay store, and their seller name is getintosports. If you or anyone else have any more paintball questions, e-mail me at m615dan@aol.com I hope this helped you, I have been playing paintball for 3 years.

Pick up a Spyder or a Tippmann combo pack. They will come with a hopper and tank. They are going to be your cheapest and best bet for starting paintballing. Once you get more into the sport you can start looking at markers around $300+ but don't go spending too much on them right now.
