has anyone heard of "coolwebsearch" or "spymarshal", i can't get them off of my computer. help!!!

what you've got is spyware there are two programs that should be able the help you first is Ad-aware from lavasoft get it here http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
the second is spybot search and destroy from safer networking get that here http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
yet another good one is AVG anti-spyware get that here http://free.grisoft.com/doc/20/lng/us/tpl/v5
One of them should be able to remove it get all three they're free

1) Run Trend Micro CWShredder the premier tool to find and remove traces of CoolWebSearch – the name for a wide range of insidious browser hijackers– from your PC.

2) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot http://spywarekiller.hyperboards.com/index.php?action=view_topic&topic_id=4 do that now .Update it http://www.spybot.info/en/howto/update.html (latest updates on 14th march 2007) and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html

then run AVG Anti-Spyware Free

then

3) Do an online virus scan to check and remove virus and spyware if you still have viruses on your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
