I always thought that Mother's Day was the same everywhere (this year March 18th, and usually sometime in March). But when I went to France last year, in May, I found out that it was Mother's day on the Sunday I was there.
So, just out of interest, does anyone know when other countries celebrate Mother's Day?

A range of interesting answers. Most of you are saying that Mother's Day is in or around May in your countries. We Brits love to be different lol.

Wikipedia has the big list, less exciting I know, but I am also a Brit so I knew it was then ;)
Ours is dictated by Lent (fourth sunday), and shared by Ireland and Nigeria. So it's understandable that not every country would be synchronised with us. :)

This year in Canada mothers day is the second Sunday in June.

i think here in Italy it's the second weekend in May. Today is Father's day, Festa di San Giuseppe, Saint Joseph's Day...
i've been treated to a firework display which i could see out of the office window.. lovely

Mother's day is also celebrated in my country which is Nigeria in Africa but i do not know the exact month.All i know is that it comes around the month of May.
