hey the pill has only been about since the mid 60's
i suppose all those "old wives" you are talking about were part of the swinging 60's
old the old wives i know are pretty cool for their age lol

That's what I had thought! I had been on the pill for years and stopped taking it the day I got married - I'd heard it stayed in your system for months, sometimes up to a year! I became pregnant with my first child immediately, within the first week of going off the pill! Exactly 9 months to the day, my son was born. I guess it really just depends on each individual but if you don't want to get pregnant then use some form of birth control until you do.

I got pregnant first time of trying after 13 years on the pill, and 2 months off it.

on the pill 5 years and got pregnant after just 4 months after coming off so everyone is different but should not be a problem

I got pregnant 45 days after I went off the pill.
I had been on the pill for 7 years.

hi i was on the combined pill for two years then came off it the day after i got married did even have a period and fell pregnant with twins

no because some ppl dont get pregnant until months after getting off of the pill, so it just depends on the person~ some may end up getting pregnant within a month after or up to a year after~Just depends on the person :)

i was on the pill for 4 years i came off it to try for a baby thinking it would happen within couple of months and it took 18 months to conceive every ones body's are different thou.
but if your planning on trying after just coming off the pill my advise is don't get your hopes up it may take time

It took me almost 4 years to get pregnant after being on the pill for 10 years. I don't know if it had anything to do with it because we just thought "if it happens, it happens". We didn't vigorously try to get pregnant but we eventually did and my pregnancy is going perfectly.
