I was in a gang, got arrested a couple of times, almost kicked out of school, and drank too much. Wasn't allowed to play any sports because of my "problem behavior" and low grades. But I managed to graduate and get a job.

I did a little drama work in my last 2 years of high school, but I mostly declined to take part in any clique or school group. I didn't really fit in, so I immersed myself in my writing.
