Could be both. Microsoft has not released the security Patches for IE because they are still in testing phase. It is the first time they have missed a release window.

Are you using Internet Explorer 7? If so, it's very buggy. I ended up going back to 6.

I haven't had any problems with the new IE7. It's probably the network. My RoadRunner HighSpeed goes out all the time, and it makes me get error messages. God damn BrightHouse Networks!

Try deleting your cache and history files in internet explorer and restart your computer.
