Chances are you are remembering previous lives.
This world we live in is sucking away our energy. Moral depletion is a weapon of the enemy and everything of decent value is being systematically stolen from us. Those times were much freer but not without problems.
We are where we are for a reason. Some great and cosmic lesson we set for ourselves as part of the condition of our rebirth.
Yes, reincarnation does have a system of sorts to it. I, too, remember a life back in ancient Egypt, before the Pharaohs almost. All my life I dreamt of this time. I studied Egypt, learned its history, lived in the museum. Then, when I was 50 I met a man. He recognized me and I him. We had been married at that time, probably the last pure and happy incarnation either of us had. We remembered. There were two other periods we remembered also. !700's rural Britain as Travellers. He was taken from us quickly but I know we will feel each other again in our waltz through time.
There was another life in Egypt but I do not wish to explore it. It was a dark life dedicated to the Cat Goddess Bastet and I fear I went to places I wish to leave forgotten. I was evil.
There are other lives. I remember three of them very clearly. But I almost lost myself in the process of finding one and have since stopped. There is a reason for the wall of forgetfulness between lives. Too much knowledge can make you crazy!
If thoughts of a certain time in history "resonate" well with you, learn more about the time. Look at it without gender bias if you can for you might have been either sex. Usually when you remember an event, it will be a kodak moment of that life. Unfortunately these are often the more traumatic, not happy, times of that life. Things will unfold from there if you explore more deeply.
Just take great care. Such meddling can be dangerous. You never know what you can unleash.

I know what your feeling, its like were stuck in between and even with all of our technology are not advancing as fast as years past, its like were between two extremes, the not too distant future of inter-planetary travel and high-technology, and the ancient times when the world was young, the time of high adventure and glory with so much to explore. My advice is to use the time you have to do what you want and be who you want.
You can still have the ethics of a Roman general or the innovation someone from the future may have...
I had written a much better answer and my internet crashed! Now my answer is lost not to be found!!!!!!!!

Absolutely!!! I totally know how you feel, I find myself in lala land all the time wondering what it would be like to be in that time and how my life would have been. I'm half american indian and I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be involved with a tribe or how great it would have been to find my John Smith. hehe!! Yeah your not alone, but it's totally cool. I think the roman empire would have been cool!!! Keep on thinking the way you do that just means you have a creative mind and that rocks!!

Yes, when I was growing up I was fascinated by the Renaissance; how wonderful it must have been to be around the explosion of creativity.
But whenever I think about living in those times, I think about things like penicillin and pain killers, and change my mind.

i might loved to have lived in the direction of the 60s, no longer in elementary terms via song and hippy way of life, besides the fact that if it replace right into a era of great replace, from social attitudes, to perceptions in the direction of race and intercourse, to the clothing we placed on, to politics, conflict, drugs etc. It replace into very distinctive to the 40's and 50s, plus in case you reside in the direction of the 60s you get to stay in the direction of the 70s, 80s and 90s. @Dewdrop - To be trustworthy, there is as many terrible wars immediately, and in terms of segregation, lots of that ended because of the revolutions of the 60s. “San Francisco in the middle Nineteen Sixties replace into an exceedingly specific time and place to hitch. in keeping with risk it meant something. in keeping with risk no longer, in the lengthy run… yet no explanation, no blend of words or song or memories can touch that sense of understanding which you have been there and alive in that corner of time in the international. besides the fact that it meant.… historic previous is puzzling to be attentive to, because of the fact of each and every of the employed bullshit, yet even without being advantageous of "historic previous" it sort of feels completely sensible to think of that each and every now and then the potential of an entire technology encompasses a head in a lengthy fantastic flash, for motives that no person rather is familiar with on the time—and which never clarify, finding back, what rather happened... there replace into insanity in any course, at any hour. If no longer around the Bay, then up the Golden Gate or down one hundred and one to Los Altos or la Honda.… you are able to desire to strike sparks everywhere. there replace right into a great well-known sense that besides the fact that we've been doing replace into suited, that we've been triumphing.… And that, i think of, replace into the handle—that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of old and Evil. no longer in any mean or militia sense; we did no longer desire that. Our potential might merely be triumphant. there replace into no think approximately combating—on our ingredient or theirs. We had each and every of the momentum; we've been using the crest of a severe and pleasing wave.… So now, below 5 years later, you are able to bypass up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the main superb form of eyes you are able to merely approximately see the severe-water mark—that place the place the wave ultimately broke and rolled lower back.” - Hunter S. Yes, and I agree with Barbra. I'm not sure reincarnation is factual but I think it's a possibility.
