Well, it all boils down to four basic things, right? Fun, graphics, price, and longevity (how fun it will be for how long).
FUN:
I have no doubt that all three consoles have a fun-factor to them. However, the Xbox 360 has a wider selection of games than either the Wii or PS3. Though, the Wii seems to be the forerunner in the "fun" category because of its addictive style and gameplay. As far as I know, the PS3 holds third place in this category for the mere fact that it has a drought of enjoyable games.
GRAPHICS:
PS3 all the way in this one. The graphics for this system will blow you away.....if your TV supports high-definition. If you still have a boob-tube or an early plasma/LCD, then it won't matter which system you choose, your graphical capabilities will be limited. The Xbox 360 comes in a VERY close second place. The Wii takes last in this category, roughly having the graphical capability of the original Xbox.
PRICE:
Wii, Wii, Wii. Cheap and affordable. Something you don't have to save up for (a lot); plus, the system connects to other Wiis around the world without charging a fee. The Xbox 360 is a little bit more ($100 more for the core system), but there's also charges if you want to use Xbox Live. The PS3 rams it up the butt with a HUGE price tag. No matter how you break it down, you could own BOTH the Wii and 360 roughly for the price of one PS3.
LONGEVITY:
How often do you think you'll return to your system to replay games? Will you buy a current gen system only to toss it to the wayside when the next gen comes around? Personally, I believe the Wii has the greatest replay capabilities. Not only does it open up the possibility for the games you already love, but it will also give a stunning array of sure-to-be classic games with revolutionary gameplay. The 360 will have its own set of classics, too. With games like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Halo 3, the system will hold its own for years. And then to the PS3....It seems to me that many of the games for the PS3 boast unoriginal plotlines with unoriginal gameplay. Down the road when the next gen comes around, will the price you paid for the graphics truly be worth it when the games have faded and seem boring?
To me, I would rank the Wii first, Xbox 360 second, the the PS3 third. Of course, that's my opinion. Situations differ for every person, and some people may find graphics more important than gameplay or certain games more important than price.
Either way, I plan on buying the Wii and 360 (unless the PS3 impresses me some time in the near future). Sorry about this being so longwinded, but I think it covers just about all sides of the issue.

The decision is a close one, but I guess it has to do with what exactly you want out of the system. X Box 360 is the leader when it comes to diversity in gaming. It has a wide assortment of new and older games to choose from as well as many new 360 exclusive games that are soon to be launched. PS3 will try to tell you that Hideo Kojima and other game developers who have been loyal to Sony in the past are only developing for the PS3, but news is that he is thinking of doing a game for the xbOX 360 AS WELL. The Wii is really fun and gives you excercise to boot, but when it comes to graphics or true hard core gaming playability it just doesn't cut the mustard. It is reall y fun though, and I would recommend getting it since it only costs two fifty. Finally, the PS3. It is awesome no doubt about it. Touch sensors, quick load times and controller recognition, CD entry for games keeping them pristene while running( the XBOX 360 has been known to scratch games especially if it isn't exactly level) and the looks. Blue ray HD movie playability and HD gaming, WI FI connectivity to the net and many other perks give it a comfortable lead in quality, but the price tells it. You can get a HD drive for the XBOX 360 too but it is kind of bad having so many white boxes lying around. The PS3 comes in one package and looks sleek, but the games are limited in quantity, not quality. It is just taking too long for the game developers to make the games and that is why I'm taking back the PS3 and keeping my XBOX. XBOX 360 for gaming ability wins.

i dont know about the wii but the ps3 is really good. the graphics are great and it is easy to do what you need without having to relearn buttons. if you had a ps2 the buttons arent much different. the 360 well in my oppinion they suck. we bought one and it went out in 2 weeks and then we got another and it lasted 4 days so i said never again. for the price they need to work and last. the ps3 has had no problems

PS3
because,
Wii is a Kids game and I DONT want to smash My TV while Im playing some stupid GAmes with stupid graphics (it's worst than ps2)
360 , It's kinda good but most of the games I can get them on PC (that's why it's cheap)
ps3. most Of ps2 games continue on ps3, and Most of it games are for ps3 ONLY
