I drempt that I commited suicide. I am not suicidal. At least I don't think I am. I am going thru a lot right now. My ex has put me thru the ringer. It is tearing me and the kids apart. Emotionaly I am holding on, but, I am getting so tired of no one listning or helping me and my kids. The court system does not work. My kids want to spend time with their dad despite all the things he has done to them. They are at risk when they are with him, even supervised.
I drempt that I commited suicide, then after I did I seen what it was doing to my kids and family that I wanted so bad to undo what I did. My dream was so real. I can't remeber all of it. I remember wanting one more chance. I was not in heaven but, following the ones I love. I couldn't talk to them, or help them. My kids were getting hurt and I couldn't stop their dad. I was dead!!!!!!!! What does this mean?????
Please help me make sence of it. Thanks

Do you feel helpless? Do you feel like things are out of your control and that it is your fault? Committing suicide is something that you do to yourself and the fact that you dreamt that you couldn't help your love ones makes me think you may feel helpless.

I don't know what your situation is with your husband being a danger to your childen, but it is normal for them to want to spend time with him. He is their father and their is a bond there that is hard to break. And do you really want to break it? I'm a step-mom who is raising my step-son. His mom has not been very active in his life, but whenever she is going to come to see him, he gets very excited and can't sit still. One day, when he is older, he will see who really takes care of him and is there when he needs someone. Right now, I just love him as much as possible and try to let him know he can always come to me whenever he needs someone to talk to.

If your ex has visitation, is it supervised? If it is, then there really isn't much you can do to stop him from seeing the kids. If they are really in danger, then try and get proof of it. Let your kids feel they can come to you with anything. Don't talk bad about your ex or the kids may feel they have to choose sides. Just leave the lines of communication open.

I hope everything works out for you and your kids.

I agree with person above. I think it's you feeling overwhelmed and feeling helpless. Do not despair, seems like sometimes you're not being heard. You just need to find people who will help and support you. It might be scary to leave the kids with him, but he's their dad, and they will have to realize when they grow up how things are. Don't get impatient, just let things be and get enough support.

Dreams can be best interpreted by the person who had the dream, so just take it easy, and keep this as a reminder that not all is lost, and you have an opportunity to make the best of your kids upbringing. Best of luck to you.

Perhaps you are afraid of not being there for your children... Maybe you think that you are the only person left for them? I'm not sure but that is what your dream is telling me. You're probably not suicidal, and that dream probably has nothing to do with suicide in real-life terms, it most likely just simply means you're stressing and worrying over "What if something happens to me? What will happen to my children then?" I would try to de-stress... because I know personally how bad stress can be, and you might not even realize how bad it really is until it's too late. Try to spend some quality time with your kids, let them know you ARE there for them, help them to forget about their father if he really is dangerous.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you need anything else. God Bless you. ^_^

I don't know anything about what is going on in your life, but I had something similar happen when I was a child. My parents had the same thing going on--- in the middle of a devorse...and it was really hard for my mom to insist with the courts and my father that we were better off with her.

I know I was just a kid in this situation and a very young one at that, but what helped us understand what was going on was that our mom talked to us about it and explained why she had to do this.

Most people think that kids are too fragle to understand these kind of things, but we understand alot more at that age then when we are older.

Don't give up. You're kids will thank you some day..even if they might be upset right now...they'll apprieciant it.

Dreams are just jumbled up memories that occur in your sleep. They may include memories from news stories, from your own life, from the lives of people you know or hear about, or they can just be weird jumbled up things. (I once dreamed a was tiny and was walking along a strand of spaghetti in a big giant plate of spaghetti... I'm fairly certain I don't have to worry about that coming true!)

You know you are not suicidal. The dream is just a dream- nothing real.

What you can use from your dream is what you already know--your kids need you and that provides you with the goal to work toward being there for them in every way possible.

My very best to you!

This is your subconscious mind telling you to hang in there, because deep down inside you feel like giving up sometimes, but you also know how much that would be the wrong thing to do.

You'll be okay, and you are just reminding your conscious mind of the fact that things are going to be alright.
