Yes we do, and no not all of the humor we prefer is "slapstick" or stupid. Despite what American t.v. shows portray, not all Americans have that type of humor. A person's sense of humor varies by individual. I myself have a more sarcastic humor, while my good friend is more silly. It varies by individual, not by continent.

I agree with you, my brother married an american bird and her family found the office, peter kay, lee evans and ricky gervais boring and not in the slightest bit funny, oh my god!!!
Im 14 and still love all of these theyre so funny :D!!!

They do, but it needs to be brash, blatant, loud and obvious (like most other American things) in order for them to acknowledge this.... Although some of the best comedians have been American (Mitch Hedberg, Bill Hicks etc.)

Their humour is more slapstick - us Brits are more subtle. That is why they don't think it is funny
