My baby weighs inbtween 2700 and 3000 grams. Thats what the ultra sound said today. Is that big for 34 weeks? Would he be ok if he was born now?

She would be fine. My baby was born early and was 4.4 lbs.
She had to stay in the hospital for awhile, but her lungs and everything were formed so she could breathe on her own.

No the baby is not "big" for 34 weeks that is 6.6 pounds {3000grams} Yes it would be okay if it was born now aside from maybe the issue of breathing. Term as you know is 40 weeks. My son was born 5 weeks premature and was and is perfect. Average baby these days are 7-9 pounds. Dont worry about the size of your unborn babies weight I'll never understand why ppl freak out over the weights of their babies. The lower the birthweight the more problems unless we are talking grossly huge for gestational age like maybe a 14 pounder.

If he was born tomorrow he would be fine in the long run, but would have to spend some time in the NICU and you would have to leave your baby at the hospital, which would be very hard. Most 34 weekers stay in the hospital for 2 weeks. He would be at in increased risk for respitory illnesses, such as pnemonia and asthma for the first few years of his life. You want him to stay in you at least until 37 weeks.

2700 grams= about 6 pounds, to yeah, i'd say you will have a good sized baby by the time you reach 40 weeks. here is the grams to pounds conversion chart, it may help you

my baby weighs 3300 grams and the doctor said thats 7lbs 5oz, and shes 5 days old. sounds like he would be fine if he were born now.
