How do I set a default value for a yes/no checkbox in Access? I've tried setting it to "True" but that doesn't seem to be working.

What box do I right-click? I tried right clicking the checkbox and that did not work.

1) Go into the TABLE DESIGN window for your table with the checkbox

2) Find the checkbox in the field list (the field type will be "Yes/No")

3) Below the field list, find the GENERAL tab

4) With the checkbox field selected, check the DEFAULT VALUE property. You can type text into that property. If you type Yes into that property, it will check it by default. If you leave it blank of type No, it will not check it by default.

Right-click the box and select properties. Scroll down to where it says 'Default' or "Default Value", then type in 'yes' or 'no', whichever you want it to be.
