Your CPU might be dying (computer proccessing unit). Turn off the labtop then when you reboot hold down the Fn key (to the left of your space bar. That will load a diagnostic boot. Then run the check up and it should be able to tell you what the problem is.

People ask for help and they do not give the name and model of computer.
Generic answer:See if your fan is working. Also maybe the batteries too. You do know they had a big recall on them. BUT you can check that out yourself since you did not leave a name. And go to cnet and see what you can find.
Check the download section at these sites for some free downloads. Also bookmark them and you can learn about computers.

You may need a new battary you most completely charge it everytime and also 100% drain it or you will train the battery to have a shorter life. Battery will cost between 80 to 200 dollars.

If it's a Dell you could possibly have one of those laptops that had a battery recall. Try going to Dell.com and enter the info for your laptop. They'll let you know if your model was one of the affected ones.

yeah, sounds like the fan or something else overheating. if you're technically smart then yes you might be able to fix it. Otherwise send it out and wait 4-6 weeks.

If this is a MacBook, run software update and see if an SMC firmware update shows up. If it does, that should fix most o the problem...
