I have went to drs since I was young and have had glasses twice. It has never improved. So I don't wear glasses. I have a hard time passing my drivers eye exam and glasses do not help my bad eye.
I can not see any better than what I did before. Even when I am at the eye dr and they try to prescribe eyeglasses for me,(better or worse) i can not tell any difference.

Is there any hope for me to see out of my bad eye? It seems as if it is getting worse and I don't know what to do. I am 26 years old and dont want to lose my license or my eye sight!

Any help?

It sounds like a case of amblyopia (poor vision, not correctlable with glasses/contacts/surgery). It is an unfortunate situation. Chances are if it was caught at an early age (before 7yrs), with some therapy/visual training you would have been able to improve vision some. Unfortunately, it would look as though you are stuck with poor vision in one eye. Protect the good eye as much as possible (ie. wear a safety material like polycarbonate or Trivex) to guard against losing more vision in an accident. Keep up with the regular eye exams.

Good eyesight in one eye is fine for an ordinary driving license in just about every country in the world.
(There are higher standards for heavy good vehicles etc. which you probably would not meet.)
So while your good eye is good, your license is not a risk.

An ordinary lazy eye does not get worse, and is still useful as it provides peripheral vision perfectly well.

If you think the vision is getting worse, you need another examination wherever they have records of you, if that is possible. There are conditions (rare, repeat rare) which gradually damage sight without pain or redness in young people. So a check is in order if you are worried.
Having said you are young, (for degenerative eye conditions, you are) you are too old for standard lazy eye treatment, so it is unlikely the vision in the poor eye could be improved.
(I could think of a few exceptional conditions where that might be a possibility: keratoconus, juvenile cataract... but any decent eye exam should notice these.)

There's a simple test as to whether glasses might help: see if your vision improves looking through a 1mm pinhole in a piece of paper held close to the eye. If the vision comes up appreciably, glasses/contact lenses could be of some use.

You may need to find a specialist but please don't stop going there is help out there and try wearing the glasses because the good eye is being stressed and may start to go bad and let the doctors know that the glasses isn't working and be straight forward firm and let them-know this in not working and that you need help a good doc will d all they can if not ask to be to someone who can. i hope is will help and take care of your eyes

Contact an eye research institute in your state. Most have been funded by Lions Clubs International. The state medical school will know where they are located.

It seems you need a complete work up and not just an eye exam.

You should be able to see well enough through your good eye, and not depend on the bad eye. If correctional glasses really don't help your good eye, then you have a problem I fear.
