When for example I have had to defend fiercely, the right to post an opinion and in return, may be, by just a few people
ignorantly or prejudicially attacked, only because they, in their supposed safe anonymity Can and therefore WILL!
However for the very most, I have enjoyed this virtual, cyber-space reality for many reasons. From the comical to the serious, from the sad to the most cheerful.

I have a question today, for anyone out there who has had similar experiences, as I have described?
* What do you especially like about this website?
* What have you learned, positively and negatively about It?
* About yourself?
* About others?
* Does the website, rather, the variety of issues, questions, answers it offer through a myriad of diversity in people - sometimes make you feel as if you were on a see-saw?
* If yes, please offer an example of your experience.
* have there been times when you are DECIDED to Just QUIT IT?
* When you've chosen to stay . .
* What compels you to stay?

Yes, I constantly think about walking away. I spend way too much time here and I don't know why.

At first, I thought that it was the lure of the point system. I guess I was pleased to be rewarded for trying to help someone in some small way.

Then, I became obsessed with being the number one contributor in a particular area. After doing that, I thought that I would walk away.

But, alas, I'm still here. I'm waiting for someone to knock me off of this precarious perch that I have constructed here.

I guess I stay because I feel that I have the opportunity to help somebody, even if inadvertently. For me, it has always been hard to volunteer help. At least here on this site, I believe that someone at least considers my suggestions.

The one thing that worries me is providing advice that could negatively influence someones life. So, I always try to temper my remarks somewhat and put a positive spin on a negative situation.

The vast majority of people haven't the first clue how to use a choke chain, and such a collar is not appropriate for a puppy (ever heard of proper leash training?? Sure, crating can lead to a hyper dog...if you're not properly using the crate. Some people toss their dogs in a crate and think it trains the dog for them. It's called 'crate training' for a reason....there is some effort involved. AND, over-treating a dog will make it so that the dog ONLY performs when food is involved...bad idea. Physical and verbal praise work wonders. Treats aren't always necessary, but food can be a great way to get the dog's attention initially I would love to know what this person is breeding...

I was right many people have their values set up in a way that their opinions are skewed to the point of not being reasonable thus eliminating any chance, that is with them to conduct an adult debate.
