Ok I get it, the baby will come when the baby comes, but I was just curious if anyone felt just "different" maybe like a week before delivery?
Lately, I have been developing severe back aches that come around to my sides, probably just BH's progressing, is my guess. Also, I just feel "different" like I know it is just going to happen soon, it is hard to explain. I am probably just trying to convince myself it is going to happen.
Did anyone else feel this way? Is it my pregnancy hormones making me crazy?

For me I felt miserable for so long (I was a week overdue) when I had a surge of energy I knew it was close. I felt so good I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the bathroom floor. I went into labor the next day (after I walked 10 laps around a basketball court).

I'm feeling the exact same way... i'm 35 weeks, but I am feeling very... unusual today. Last night I dreamed i was in the hospital about to have my baby. I woke up at 4:30 this morning with horrible sharp pains in my back and pelvic area and I got up because laying down felt awful... tried to go back to bed and just couldn't sleep... needless to say I am at work right now and I have felt so weird today, can't keep my mind on anything... still having weird pains... I'm a first time mom so I'm not sure what a contraction feels like! You might be right! Maybe your time is very soon! Good luck!

You aren't crazy it's your body talking to you. Your first "mommy intution" moment. Most women feel different a week or so before they give birth. I know my mom looked at my face and told me it wouldn't be long now, cause I had the look. Well I didn't see it, but I did feel like something unusual was going on. Sure enough 3 days later I went in and had my son. I'm mom to 3. Keep an eye on those "severe back aches" Could be more than that.

The night before i went into labor, i woke up every hour to go to the bathroom. Then at like 3 am i was in the kitchen eating chocolate chip cookies with chocolate frosting out of the can. It was so good, then i went back to sleep.
Next thing i know i'm back up at 5 and i thought to myself "i couldn't posssibly have to pee again" and what do you know, my water broke. I was two weeks early. I was due feb 22 and it was only feb 7.
Now, I did something two days before that i thought could have been the reason. i heard that if you eat macoroni and cheese with A1 sauce on it that you would go into labor with in 48 hours. I guess it is true because it worked over here. It's just food so i gave it a try. You could try it if you are reasonbly close to your due date.
Good luck.

I went in for a regular check up when I was 36 weeks and I told my doctor I felt "high", he checked me and I was 5cm dialated!! It sounds to me like you are ready to go into labor any moment. That night he sent me home but I went in to get induced the next morning after a lot of back aches and a little more "crazy feeling" and was 6cms. Just keep an eye out for any pattern in the "aches" it might be labor like I had! Good luck and CONGRATS... keep us updatd

I told my husband the morning that I went into labor that I felt a little different and thought the baby was going to come soon. My water broke 3 hours later. Animals can sense when they are going to give birth and act really weird hours before, so maybe it's our animalistic instinct?

Your intuition is probably right. I don't remember feeling 'different' during the last week... apart from being sure that labor was imminent and also a little tired of not being able to sleep well. But you forget so quickly! My son was also 5 days late, well, 5 days after the estimated due date... so I knew that he was coming any minute then.

I totally understand. I think sometimes you just know almost like there is this little inkling that labor is coming. I would totally get everything that I need together because it sounds like your prepping for birth.
Good luck
