My fav bands until now are: Evanescence, Nightwish (they rock!) and Leaves' Eyes and Within Temptation..Tell me more gothic rock bands which are worth listening

I miss Tarja too but there are some rumors that the new singer that will be anounced in May will be Tarja...LOL i don't know if that's true but i hope it is....i'm dying to see how will be the next album...i will listen what you've said...thanks

I also like the bands that you've mentioned. And yes Nightwish do rock (I miss Tarja btw). Anyways, I'm not that knowledgeable with this type of music but so far I'm liking cradle of filth, angtoria, theater of tragedy (the older one when Liv of Leave's Eyes was still the vocalist), Sirenia, Tristania, Moonspell, Epica, The Gathering, After Forever, Opeth, Lacrimosa, Xandria.
And oh if you like Nightwish, check out the powermetal band Stratovarius. They are one of their influences.

Hi Chris, I'm glad that you like some of the bands I've mentioned. I'm new to the goth genre myself, because I'm veered towards power metal, so I don't know that many bands yet. www.last.fm actually helped me discover some of the bands that I like. And I didn't hear that rumor about Tarja being the lead again. That would be great but realistically I think there's little chance of that pushing through. I think the band would choose a new singer. I can't wait till May, until they reveal who it is. :)
