Concur with Mistress. Just go get a passport photo done, instead of trying to make your printer do it. Besides, if you get the photo done at a shop, you **know** it'll be up to standards. If you do it on your printer, you're taking a risk that it won't be good enough, which will delay your passport application. Better to spend a few bucks and be sure, IMO. Good luck!

Go to your nearest drug store with a photo lab and they'll do it for around $8.

I actually prefer to do it with photoshop, but it's a lot more work and I don't have time to explain how.
