If you are just clipping legs and bridle paths etc, and not doing any major body clipping, go with a cordless model. They work just fine and are easier to use for small jobs. I picked up some cheap ones from my local feed store that work great and they were only about $40. They are Wahl brand. My only complaint is that they are a little noisy, but for the price I really don't mind.

Andis clippers are somewhat inexpensive, as are Wahl clippers. Osters can be a little more pricey, but they are really good clippers.
