My cousins in Tennessee call all pop coke...everything...she asked if I wanted some coke and I said sure, so she brought me back a Mt Dew...lol
I'm from Indiana, and as far as I know, everyone calls it pop here

Yep southerners thought I was weird too so I quickly stopped calling soda, pop when I moved down soth. They call it coke too. Since I only drink coke I call it coke and I call the other varietys by thier real name. I if I were to call is a generic name it would be soda or soft drink (why do they call it soft anyway, nothing soft about a coke)

I normally call it soda but everyone from my town calls it pop. People think I'm from a different part of the country just because I say soda lol.

I prefer to say soda because the word pop reminds me of my dad and saying "can I have some pop" doesn't sound all that good to me. Take care

I, like most Canadians, call it pop. Coke is Coca-Cola !
I once met a guy from Florida who did the same thing....all pop was 'coke'...kinda wierd I think !

I'm from NYC where its always called soda, but pronounced soder... A friend of mine from Alabama calls everything coke; she says, do you wanna coke when she means root beer!

Diet Soda
Two blondes decided to share a can of diet soda. One blonde opened the can, poured half the contents into her own glass, and the other half into her friend's glass. Before throwing the can away, she stopped to read the nutritional information on the side.
"Wow, there's only one calorie per can," she commented.
