Hello! I am not a shy person but I am very self-conscious. I feel different from all the other girls because I got just out of the convent last December. I am not a nun. I was just contemplating it but after just 8 months I was sure it was not for me. My roommate said I could meet some nice people on line. I have my doubts. I am just so naive. Please help. Hi. I am glad to "meet you". I am positive you can make friends, without getting hurt. Do you have any hobbies or interests? Find a discussion board/chat room and see if you can figure out how to get into the discussion. If you like music and word games I like the site www.inthe00s.com. They have separate sites for discussing music from the 60's to the present 2000's and no one has ever given me any reason to stop visiting. If you do visit, look for me, Michelle with my surname as an initial and send me an instant message!
There are some nice discussion boards out there it just takes some searching to find them.of stay at home christian moms who home schooling and who also allowed others to join like me because i was looking for crafts to do for spring with my daycare kids. They also had daily inspirational messages. There are many many sites like that. Use your better judgment on people's attitudes. If you are not comfortable with a question, or comment don't stay in the site unless you want to first report it to a moderator or whomever runs the webpage. If you want things to do outside the house call your local parks and recreation/community center and see if they have classes starting. Aerobics, square dancing, play the keyboard anything else you think could be fun and you will undoubtedly meet some nice folks too. I'm not big on socializing either, so I keep busy doing sunday school. Have you found a local church to attend and belong to? Maybe they have a calendar of social events where you can feel a bit "safer" knowing it's probably mostly attended by others who are of faith.

Be very careful on line and never never give out your real name or location.....There are nice people out there but they are few and far between. I consider myself a christian also and I hope you find what you are looking for. I am also available to chat if you need somebody to talk too.
