i guess you could go to the control panel and delete the programs you don't need
or you could go to the system recovery so you delete everything off your pc
press F10 when your pc boots up until some screen saying loading system recovery appears and follow the instructions

It is actually called Reformatting The hard Drive. It will erase your computer of everything. Including your Operating System (Windows) This should not be done by the novice because it would require reloading Windows before you could use your computer again. I would like to make some suggestions that might solve your problem. Some of these may not be posible for you to do because of the hardware you have available to you or the money you have at your disposal to through at it.
The easiest cure would be to spend $75 and purchase an external hard drive to move your files to.
If you have a CD or DVD burner (recorder) you could transfer data to disc and delete it from your computer
There are certain types of files that can be very large and if removed, they would free up space rapidly. The first place I would go is your then click on
After each program listed Windows will tell you how often any program is used. If it says seldom or never, you are probably safe to remove it.
Movie/video programs are probably the biggest Disc space users. Click on then click on
In the file name field of the search window type *.mpeg and then click on this will find all mpeg video files on your computer. Right click on those you can live without and select from the drop down menu.
repeat this Search/Delete process for the following files one at a time.
*.avi, *.mpeg. *.mov, *.wmv, *.asf Now move on to music files.
*.mp3, *.wav, *.mp4, *.wma Now move on to graphics and photos
*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.tif
Certain programs will save things by their own extension. If you have programs that you use then save the files you have created there, open the program and make a note of the extension that it saves files under. Search for those and delete as well any that you dont need.
Fonts also use a lot of disc space. You can remove un needed Fonts through the control panel also.
Good luck

What you have to do is to DELETE some programs so you can get more memory from your Hard Drive.
If you have Windows XP, go to START, ALL PROGRAMS, then ACCESSORIES, click on SYSTEM CLEANUP, then do a Defrag and clean files. Cleaning of files will help free up a little space. I bet you have an old computer. Some of the old computers came with like 20 Gb of Hard Drive but in those days that was a lot of memory.

You can't "erase your computer" but you can erase data off your hard drive.
